Final revision
Sorry for the delay team - I have been supporting students in study support and have only just got home to upload this for you.
If we are not seeing you tomorrow because you are cross site - good luck! You will ace it!
A few reminders:
Mrs Jones
If we are not seeing you tomorrow because you are cross site - good luck! You will ace it!
A few reminders:
- Bring more than one pen and a highlighter if possible (I might let you borrow one of mine if you ask nicely!)
- Keep calm! Go over the notes attached. You know the information, look over the key terminology, refresh your memory as to the key factors for each category.
- Break down the question. Highlight the key words. Are they trying to trick you by phrasing it differently? (e.g global institutions/conglomerates/media industry/media ownership - are they rephrasing something that you DO understand into a different wording?) Rewrite the question in simpler terms if you find it helpful.
- Plan! I promise that we can tell when you have, your writing is so much better when you do.
- Remember the structure. intro-film 1-film 2- comparison - conclusion (future of cinema?)
- formal language - imagine you are writing an exam for the Queen! No colloquial language please!
- P.E.A - always ANALYSE and link back to the question. Consider the key questions to analysae - WHO, WHY, WHEN, WHERE, WHAT, HOW? PURPOSE AND EFFECT.
For those of you based at S.N tomorrow, Mr C and I will be in S112 from 7.30 to go over some last minute notes and revision for anyone who wants it. You have me until 8.20 - make the most of me!
You will do a fantastic job tomorrow! You know it!

revision
Sadly, due to someone letting the side down - the revision notes were not completed last night. Also, there were a few responses that were a bit thin. Maybe we can all brain storm and support those people in the lesson this afternoon.
If you are missing the lesson today due to exams, I will post the final revision notes on here after school.

Glossary of key terms
We will look at this in the lesson on Wednesday (with a printed copy to take away) but have a look in advance.
Use this as a revision tool to make sure you know what each term means and where you should be applying it.
